<description>Claudia Poblete, that's me, is the Barefoot Mailman. My hippie soul and moderate views coexist in my head in blissful harmony and chaos. When I'm not panicking about something, or laughing inappropriately at something, you can often find me doing something creative, selling real estate, thinking of some new business idea, or just being a lazy bum. A mom of two daughters, twice married, and surviving a shitty divorce, I somehow made it to the fabulous 50s unsupervised, undiagnosed, and unmedicated. Just like the legendary Barefoot Mailmen who traversed the soft sands of the South Florida coast sans shoes, delivering mail from outpost to outpost, I have been navigating through the unpredictable landscape of life, one barefoot step on a Lego at a time. I'm just an average person with an average life who has also had a lot of unreal experiences that not every average person gets to have. Some have been amazing and some have been devastating and still, I survived every single one of them and lived to tell the stories.</description>

<itunes:subtitle>I'm upset. I said I wasn't going to get political, and I had a whole other show planned out. This episode begins with a cold open, a sound byte from Senator Carlos Gimenez, whose story resonates with me deeply. Our fears are not unfounded, but in 2025, they are certainly lost and often looked upon scornfully by others.</itunes:subtitle>

<itunes:subtitle>An episode that introduces you to the hosts' personal struggle with the seeming epidemic of parental alienation from their adult children, the grief we carry from it, and how the host learned to live and cope with burying someone you love while they're still alive. </itunes:subtitle>
